Republican Illiberal Mitch McConnell quote didn't age well.

From those of us who don't forget what is said.

McConnell: Tax Bill Won't Add to Nation's Debt Woes

Important >> Mitch McConnell says spending on Social Security & Medicare needs to be cut. Also Important >> McConnell said about the huge tax cut: "I not only don't think it will increase the deficit...It will produce more than enough to fill that gap"

It's far past the time to take illiberal conservatives at their word. VOTE THEM OUT!

However, even if you are right, McConnell is DEFINITELY not as smart as he thinks he is. He likely thinks he's the smartest one in the room, but that's likely only true if he's in the room with a parakeet.

2. He knew that was bullshit. They've been doing this for decades. Run up deficit. Cut the safety net.

The only people who recognize or care about Republican lies and hypocrisy are those of us already opposed to Republicans. And Republicans know that. They also know how to control the media narrative to the extent that there will be no accountability.

The same goes for the Goebbels-inspired tactic of projection. Accuse Democrats of your own criminality and claim Democratic strengths as your own. Again, they've been doing this for as long as I can remember. Because it's proven to be highly effective.

We can vent about it, but we're the only ones who give a shit.

They know how difficult it is to convince the public that government must raise taxes, so they run up the deficit, the Democrats get elected and try to clean up the mess, and then the GOP get elected again. They're trying their hardest to run the US into the ground. Maybe they really do want to start a new country -- an autocratic one with only one party.

Through their tax cuts which benefit the wealthiest Americans they're in essence taking from the poor and giving to the rich. THAT's all they care about, more money for the rich and to hell with everyone else - even if it tanks the country.

Lewis Powell had made the case for corporations to get much, much more involved in public policy, and his message was taken to heart.

and Medicare on a daily basis. Someone should buy a damn billboard near "The Villages" or whatever it's called in Florida and make them drive past McConnell's quote every day.

Seniors are entitled to it because we paid into it like a savings account. We would be screaming if a politician had access to our personal bank savings account. This is no different as to ownership.
