A smart move on Mueller's and Rosenstein's part would be . . . .

. . . . to drop a legal bomb the day after the election. A BIG, thermonuclear bomb. The Mother Of All Legal Thermonuclear Bombs.

Something along the lines of indictments against the family: Jared, Little Don, maybe Eric. Add in Roger Stone.

Do it before he has a chance to fire them.

What does Don do then? Fire them?

1. Yes, he will (try to) fire them, and everyone else, if they indict his kids.

I think that is one thing we can count on as certain.

2. Smart move would be to drop that bomb NOW. Donald is not in an election.

The FBI and DOJ cant just stop all investigations and reports of all GOP elections just because of an investigation into Trump campaign.

Thats stupid.

Dropping something now would undermine his credibility because of the partisan impact

3. Way too late to fire them, but it is past time for Mueller to release some kind of report.

Voters really deserved to know where this is headed going into November elections. Too late now, but if he hasn't got the evidence on those you listed by this point, he never will.

6. Nonsense! Not making a report is not equal to lacking evidence to charge!

The fact that Mueller has not issued a report says NOTHING about whether or not Mueller has enough evidence to charge people. There are a lot of considerations at play. Maybe the next round of indictments are to be brought against people close to Trump, and if and when that happens, Rosenstein and Mueller will probably be immediately fired. Maybe Mueller wants the entire investigation finished before taking actions that will result in his dismissal.

I bet he has plenty of evidence to issue many indictments right now. We will see.

This investigation should have been approached as a national emergency, with utmost hast.

7. Findings must be turned over to the Deputy AG, who must approve bringing indictments.

However, if sealed indictments have been issued, meaning Rosenstein has approved them, then they cannot be undone. That would be a good fail safe scenario in preparation for a firing. I believe that has happened.

10. I may be wrong about needing indictments approved, since a grand jury brings indictments.

I don't think anybody can undo or prevent the execution of indictments brought by a grand jury.

12. If this is correct then yes, ahead of his firing Mueller should have already filed

...or file, before the election, LOTS of people's sealed indictments.
