evil as he is. Never in my life have I seen this type of danger from an American. Children separated from their parents, put in basically, prisons. Kashoggi and the blatant coverup for money. Backing hate groups. The blind eye to demogogs. Taking the country to a place it's never been. Liars. Brutal people. All for money. All for power. I am so ashamed because most of my family is republican. I am the black sheep in the family, yet I am on the side of goodness, peace and love. Old hippie gal. I have never been more proud to say I am in the democratic party. And I will continue to pray for the lost souls of the republicans.

3. I feel your pain. I'm another "black sheep" old hippie from a nutcase family.

My only sibling, her husband, one of her daughters and my mom (only surviving parent) actually attended the inauguration. With all the crap my sister does and says (like a FB rant about UC Berkeley, and how she would never want her daughters to go there-- knowing full well that's the university my older daughter and I attended... plus none of her kids have a snowball's chance in hell of being admitted anyway, so it was just gratuitously obnoxious), I've quit speaking with her. They just don't give a shit about common decency, much less civility, anymore.

I totally agree with you 'Old Hippie Gal!' Get three friends or so, go have a nice VOTE together then celebrate with a nice lunch. There was really stupid criticism on Morning Joe today that there was 'no singular' Democratic message. I disagree.

I think that the universal message is "We Disavow Trumpism, Trump, and what has become of the Republican party, and the novel idea that our constitution and the meaning of law MEAN something!".

There is a large umbrella of ideas on the democratic side, and there is literally room for everyone because I truly believe that at the base, I think that we can agree on common decency and good old fashioned humanism. People are varied. And different people can live together in a civic society. Trump has turned a section of the population upside down on that, and the rest are fighting it ....

.....its going to be a long term battle as Trump has no value system to anchor him.
