3. it's even more idiotic than making the whole election about flag-burning.

republicans are masters at coming up with wildly idiotic and crazy stories that somehow end up convincing people to vote for them.
once we were told flag-burning was a major problem and that instead of voting for the best, most qualified candidate, your vote somehow meant whether or not you supported flag burning. once we were told that al gore lied once, and voting for a presidential candidate who lies is  bwaaaahaaahaa 
ah, yes, yes, republicans once insisted that america would fall apart if we voted for a candidate that lied *once*.
