I toggled back through 16 pages to undo the Cruz selection manually & change it to a vote for Beto

@leahmcelrath Oct 25

I toggled all the way back through the 16+ pages to undo the Ted Cruz selection manually and change it to a vote for @BetoORourke.

I then toggled through the 16+ pages again and reached the final review page.

This time it correctly read @BetoORourke.

I cast my ballot.

Not my tweet. Loved the dedication ppl are showing to make sure their vote is correct.

error. I call BS. It's Republican initiated cheating to try to steal the election.

Once I watched a woman walk away from the machine; I was next in line. She hadn't cast a vote--she got to the review page, saw it said what she wanted, and apparently thought that was her vote.

I voted for her--just submitted what she had--and then voted for me. The poll workers hadn't noticed that the machine hadn't actually cast the vote.

If you had notified the election judge they would have spoiled the ballot. Which is the lawful thing to do. Just saying.

But, if this were user error - why is it only manifesting in the top races, vs the bottom ones?

They're saying straight party is where it's happening. Straight party Dem is flipping Beto to Cruz. Straight party GOP is flipping Cruz to nothing.

I took the half hour to color in every Democratic candidate individually before sending it back to the States. I wasn't going to trust some Republican-programmed machine to take my straight party vote, and change Beto to Cruz without anyone ever knowing.
