But the sisters mother, who also lives in the U.S., told detectives shed received a call from the Saudi Arabian Embassy just a day before her daughters disappeared urging the family to leave the U.S. because the two young women had applied for political asylum, the Associated Press reports.
For Kashoggi, Saudi-Arabia's first version of events was that the 15 agents wanted to talk him into leaving the US and returning to Saudi-Arabia.

(16,173 posts)1. The police are investigating the possibility that the sisters may have carried out a suicide pact, taping themselves together and throwing themselves in the river. But detectives have not ruled out murder.
2. The mother also received a call from the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Washington, informing her that her daughters had applied for asylum, the police said.

Trumps sending them a clear message he'll allow this to continue. He value's money over others life. More now will run to vote for the Democrats in protest. Trump is creating a perfect storm against him and the gop right before this election with everything he's doing , saying , and allowing to take place here.

(6,547 posts)but he has incited an influx of militia to head for the border. Landowners along the border are very worried. This will not go down well. Perhaps some of those landlords who are worried about citizen militias on their property will wake up and join the blue wave. Not optimistic about this however.

(16,173 posts)Israa al-Ghomgham, a Shia activist arrested with her husband in 2015, will be tried in the countrys terrorism tribunal even though charges she faces relate to peaceful activism, Human Rights Watch said.
Any execution is appalling, but seeking the death penalty for activists like Israa al-Ghomgham, who are not even accused of violent behaviour, is monstrous, said Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East director at HRW.
Trudeau defies Saudi Arabia and says Canada will stand up for human rights Together with her husband, Moussa al-Hashem, and three other defendants, Ghomgham faces charges that do not resemble recognisable crimes, HRW said. They include participating in protests, chanting slogans hostile to the regime, attempting to inflame public opinion and filming protests and publishing on social media.

(38 posts)The headline and text state "two women", but it actually is one 22-year-old young woman, and one 16-year-old girl. So Saudi Arabian girls are now being killed in the United States.
