I was working on a post about how seeking asylum is one example of legal immigration

I was doing it in the hopes that it might shame somebody who says "I love legal immigration" into waking up. And then my President said that throwing rocks would be met with deadly force. And I remembered that roughly a third of my countrymen support the idea of using violence to repel legal asylum seekers from our borders.

I am a Christian. As part of that, I believe that God, in person, is walking with those 7000 poor, hungry, and sick people. People who are fleeing a country that our country fomented a coup in. People who simply want to have a chance to sit beneath their vine and fig tree. These people are our future, and the judgment against our nation will be terrible if we surrender to evil here.

Every single asylum seeker deserves a hearing.

6. I just wonder why the Democrats don't talk about seeking asylum being legal and

those seeking asylum are NOT illegal immigrants. The media does a very poor job of explaining this, the pundits they interviews among the Democrats do not push this point, no one seems to challenge the notion that these people are not "Illegal immigrants". They are not even "immigrants" yet. The GOP grabs the bully pulpit, chants untruths at rallies, and has indoctrinated their followers into repeating ignorant and hateful untruths.
