Georgia. Dear God, Georgia.

I really want Beto to win in Texas cuz I lived there for 20 years and I can’t stand smarmy Cruz.
I really want Nelson and Gillum to win in Florida because I grew up there and lived there for 21 years, and I love Florida like I loved my parents, and Scott and DeSantis are really despicable.

Georgia? I went to college there..enjoyed some weekends sailing on, or camping by, a lake. Creeped out once by unexpectedly finding robed clan members as we turned a corner at an intersection. And Kemp is gross: cheating and stealing and racist and really awful. But thank you Oprah, for indirectly reminding me of what should have been obvious: some beautiful justice would be had there, by a win for Stacy Abrams.

In the 1860s there were 462,000 slaves in Georgia which was 44% of the population.
Where you stand, 462,000 stand with you.

And a song I love by Sweet Honey and the Rock is in my head.

I don’t know how my mother walked her trouble down
I don’t know how my father stood his ground
I don’t know how my people survive slavery
I do remember, that’s why I believe

Wow, that is one powerful line!

Thank you for saying it.

I too want to see Stacy Abrams to kick Kemp from here to doomsday!

And Beto to win in Texas.

And Nelson and Gillum to win in Florida.

For when they all win, so does our country!

“I come as one but stand as 10,000.”
From a Maya Angelou poem, Oprah quoted it today in Georgia.

A runoff seems to be the bet, but Abrams has a decent chance to take it now. But, I’m braced for a big ignorant white wing turnout. Lived in Georgia too long.

"Maya Angelou used to say, 'Baby, your crown has been paid for so put it on your head and wear it.'"

"THE RIGHT TO VOTE IS YOUR CROWN,” Oprah.
