(11,694 posts)Many countries around the world are MUCH more informed about our state of politics than we in the US are of theirs. It kind of goes along with White privilege although it would be American privilege. American in general doesn't care and usually doesn't have to think about what is going on abroad. Like they say, "When America sneezes, the whole world catches a cold". I think that will likely change under this administration, but we have been fortunate throughout most of our history to not have to consider what is going on in other parts of the world.
Another one: If you speak two languages you are biingual. If you speak three languages you are trilingual. If you speak one language what are you?
