(15,682 posts)Can you give me a brief description of what it entails? (I've done phone banking but I'm not good on the phone.)
I just listened to President Obama. What a breath of fresh air he is. He gives me hope. And he makes me want to get out and do more.
I haven't been able to do much more than encourage people (mostly strangers - in stores and parking lots, in the doctor's office and labs). I've been doing it for the past 2 months whenever the opportunity presented itself . But I want to help as much as possible in these last few days.

(51,444 posts)computer, wait to see if you get any replies. You may get a dozen or two per hundred. You can then issue another pre written text, answer a survey, or opt the person out of future contact. Each group will tell you what to do. No one gets your phone info. Easy. If someone sends profanity or is nasty you just opt them off of list.

(15,682 posts)How much time? As long as it takes to get responses?
sinkingfeeling
(51,444 posts)and get back 90% of responses in an hour. Then you check back for replies every hour or two. Done completely in 12 to 24 hours, just check for random rsponses.

(15,682 posts)Do you know anything about the Hustle app and website? I've downloaded the app on my phone and have the website open on my desktop. But I can't figure out how to register. They offer only two options. There's a "Log In" option and a "Forgot Password?" option. That's it. Do you know how I'm supposed to register?

(51,444 posts)invitation to do so from the organizations running the texting. I signed up with the organizations first, then they emailed me an invitation to create a logon.

(15,682 posts)They sent me links on how to do the texts. It was in the texting instructions that I was told I needed to use the Hustle app or website. I assumed I needed to do that before I could continue with the instructions. I very well may have assumed wrong.
Thank you for helping me again, for steering me in the right direction.. I really appreciate it!

(6,147 posts)Could you send me a DUmail about what to expect? I'm not sure if i'm doing it right. It said something about 3pm and 7pm, and then 9am-9pm.

(15,682 posts)And then a follow up? I want to do it but don't know how much time in one day so I'm having trouble picking a day.

(15,682 posts)How's it going today? You may be too busy to be reading DU. But if you are reading this message perhaps you can help me figure out the Hustle app and/or website.
I've downloaded the app on my phone and have the website open on my desktop. I can not find a way to register. There are only two options - a "Log In" option and a "Forgot Password?" option. How did you register? If you can help me that would be great! But if you're too busy don't worry about it. I will also ask Happyhippychick and sinkingfeeling.
I hope your day is great!!

(22,566 posts)I don't want any phone calls, texts or emails from anyone that I do not know so I would never do that to anyone else because I personally consider that spam and harassment. Plus, as a schizoid I want as little to do with people as possible.
So it's easy-peasy for me. But I have voted for Democrats in nearly every election where I live for the past 46 years.
