Renewing my ID today I was offered the usual voter registration opportunity. I told the nice lady I was registered and could hardly wait to vote. She said she was also eager to vote with health care being her top issue. She then told me that she has seen a large amount of people registering including a huge uptick in young people. Thus from St. Joseph, MO.

(15,924 posts)People who register at the DMV needs to check their status and their registration is accepted.
They can check by going to the County's website and find the Election page. It will have a way to check your status.
very important step in the process.
Verify, Verify, verify!!!

(13,485 posts)The last time I moved and got a new licence, the DMV asked if I wanted to register to vote, I said yes, answered the questions one of which was party affiliation, and thought it was a done deal. Well, they didn't do it or didn't do it correctly. Next election I was forced to do a provisional. No contact, no warning, nothing. I sat at a table with 4 other voters filling out provisional ballots and out of curiosity I asked them where they registered. All answered DMV. Then I asked what their party affiliation was. All Democrat.
This is Utah... but always double check.

Democratic, or at least liberal, politicians consistently try to educate voters.
Republican politicians consistently try to deceive them.
It's an overwhelmingly strong pattern, one of many. Every media figure who pretends they don't exist is working for the Republicans.

(4,642 posts)like voting machines breaking down in Detroit thus giving the orange Nazi the state. We know they are throwing millions of voters off the rolls all over the country. Its a shame we have a legal party of criminals to fight against.

(7,300 posts)Nor do I watch the local news but yeah, it's a red area but there are plenty of people that I have talked to that disapprove mightily of the current regime. Even people that identify as GOPEE-ers have voiced not just dissatisfaction by down right disgust with Drumpf's performance. I'm encouraged.

(13,485 posts)Boy, I sure didn't. But this is Utah. I commented to it in post #14.

(7,300 posts)Yeah, it was a good one but then I was already registered and am not relying on them to do it. If the person I dealt with is in charge of it then I feel confident she got the job done. She was full of vitriol for Drumpf.

Sitting in a pub having a bite at the bar. Lots of youngsters discussing the ballot measures on medical marijuana. Of course they're also talking about candidate's. I'm hearing a lot of "Fuck Trump"s and "I can't wait"s. I have Goosebumps.
