I know that my vote isn't as important as those in a nearby district for Sean Caston but I was proud to be one more vote for Bill Foster, JB Pritzker, Suzana Mendoza and all the other democrats on the ballot. I did have to wait in line for a little while but thankfully I experienced nothing like in Georgia, North Dakota or Kansas.
For all those still yet to vote, I would encourage you to do so as soon as possible if you can still early vote in your state. You never know if you could have a heart attack, get hit by a bus or have some other extraordinary event that could prevent you from voting. Good luck to all the Democratic candidates all over the country.

Early voting records are broken, we have a robust congressional race in Il-13th between challenger Betsy Dirksen Londrigan and republican yes boy Rodney Davis. GOP outside PACs have flooded the district for past few weeks for Davis were political ads all rated as false or mostly false and Davis has not distanced himself from any of them. Betsy has call him out in all 4 debates for them as well as calling him a liar to his face.
The data right now shows over 11,000 early votes cast and mail in ballots in county courthouse with approx 4,000 democratic, 3,000 GOP and 4,000 NPA. NPA means either first time voter or a voter who never voted in a primary. Betsy on the ground game is dominate and the voter enthusiasm is huge for her, it's a fight for every vote but we think young first voters and the women's vote is gonna win this for democrats. 3 more days.

(638 posts)Around where I live there were no independent candidates running so it was relatively easy to walk in the booth and just vote Democrat all the way down. This resource might be of use to you.

(12,448 posts)I'm afraid that something will happen on voting day to prevent me from voting. I voted on the first EV day in MD: October 25.

(638 posts)Hasert will be known as one of the worst people to ever hold the Speaker's gavel. God I can never think of him as being anything else other than what he has admitted to. I cringe when I think of it.

(1,148 posts)...for the same reasons. My Rep is Robin Kelly, so it's not a competitive district. I wish I could vote for Lauren Underwood. But I wanted to get my vote in for Pritzker so he gets as many votes as possible.
I look forward to seeing other Illinois people chime in. I like hearing how turnout is. Please keep us posted!
