Jake Tapper of CNN smeared Keith Ellison (D-MN)

Keith Ellison is running for MN Attorney General. He's pro-choice and pro-environment. I voted for him.

Ellison dated Karen Monahan for three years. They broke up in 2016. She made an accusation against him. It's about the morning after they broke up, when Ellison wanted her to move out of his house. Sometimes she says he dragged her off a bed. Sometimes she says that he unsuccessfully tried to, but she stayed in bed. She contradicts herself about her only physical accusation.

Today on CNN, Jake Tapper interviewed DNC Chair Tom Perez.

Tapper brought up Monahan's accusation by referring to the MeToo movement (about sexual harassment and rape) and "domestic abuse" (which people associate with hitting). Tapper never explained the specifics. So viewers were left with the impression that Monahan accused Ellison of raping her or hitting her. She didn't.

Domestic issue that happens in tons of Marriages and relationships. Monahan wants her piece of the pie and this is just a domestic revenge thing that is happening.

My mom was abused as I was raised as a child and then died from her beatings. Just because a person is a democrat it doesn't give them permission to abuse women.

5. His accuser claims to have video of the event but refuses to show it to anyone

The Republicans & the local media (both a right wing fringe rag & the mainstream "Star Tribune&quot recently sued to get Ellison's divorce records unsealed thinking they would find some real dirt there. They succeeded in getting the records released and it turned out that they had been sealed to protect his ex who had some physical & mental health issues throughout the marriage that she didn't want to go public. She & Keith have remained friends and she has been supportive of him in this campaign and his past ones.

Now look up Doug Wardlow, the Republican candidate and his recent employer "Alliance Defending Freedom" - an organization classed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

6. No they don't

they deserve to have them taken seriously. She said she had a video but now refuses to show it to anyone and has stated several different reasons she doesn't now have it. That matters in whether she is believed or not.

7. Karen Monahan contradicts herself.

Sometimes she says Ellison dragged her off a bed.

Sometimes she says she held the top of the bed, he couldn’t drag her, and she stayed in bed.

Believing one version requires disbelieving another version.
