Starting 2 years ago, we honestly saw some of the worst of America

The "Confederate statues matter more than human lives", the "'Good national security' means sure there is a mass shooter, but the shooter is white... so win", and the "Socialism means you think getting shot at school is a bad thing" crowds reared up and made themselves known.

Hopefully tomorrow, we will see some of the best.

Many of us saw it well before that. Many of us have been saying all along that all the stuff about "limited government" or "family values" or "values voters" or "sanctity of life" that was being spewed by the GOP was absolute horseshit and that we shouldn't waste even a second of time or effort trying to appeal to it. The naïveté (or willful ignorance) as to what they truly stood for, which was and is hatred and bigotry above all else, and the too much time spent trying to appeal to these evil pieces of shit is a big part of what allowed it to rise to the surface.

But on this we can agree......let's hope for the best tomorrow.
