Watch GOP Senate nominee lie shamelessly about pre-existing conditions

By Tommy Christopher - November 4, 2018

When Republicans voted to gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions, Martha McSally cheered, 'Let’s get this f--king thing done!'

Rep. Martha McSally (R-AZ), the GOP nominee for Senate in Arizona, is the latest Republican to deal with her bad record on health care by simply lying about it.

American Bridge recently posted video of a woman asking McSally why she voted to strip protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

“I did not, that’s a lie,” McSally replied sharply. “I voted to protect them. And we have people right now who don’t have coverage.”

This is not the first time that McSally has told this lie; she has even claimed to be “leading the fight” to protect people with pre-existing conditions.

But as Politifact pointed out, McSally voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), which prevents insurers from discriminating against people because they’re sick.

Hey McSally.......................is that really how you treat a constituent that asked you a basic question................on your lying, you move them along................if it was me, I would not have moved.................I would have said your record speaks otherwise.............................my father and step mother live in your state, they are retired and you want to gut there Social Security and Medicare to pay for your 1.5 trillion dollar tax cut........ ......................he served his country more honorably than you did, Korea, you lived off the taxpayer funded health care for years correct while in the military and you lived off the taxpayers dole as a congresswoman having that health care system...............you really are a piece of work........you really like when someone else pays your bills, but when it comes time for millionaires and billionaires to pay there fair share or for you for that matter, you tell everyone a LIE and tell them to go stick it, move along ........with your of bullshit.....................bull shit...... means that your a LIAR.....................

his face as he says he'll protect pec and can tell he's choking on the words. Obvious lie, deception written in his expression. Can't imagine this will help him.

Remember, the ACA was enacted without one single Republican vote. The Republicans have worked relentlessly over the last eight years to hamstring the ACA, mounting legal challenges all through 2009 and 2010, then turning up the heat trying to craft legislation that would overturn the Act. Even after they lost vote after vote, they kept bringing up fresh legislation, once giving the excuse that their new congress critters in 2011 hadn't had a chance to register a vote against the ACA. They knew their bill wouldn't get a floor vote in the Senate, but they passed bills in the House so their members could have a vote against the ACA on their record.

Now? Oh, they're the great defenders of the ACA! And the media have suffered some rare form of amnesia that has caused them to forget all those lawsuits, all those bills and all those votes over the last eight years.
