This is the first midterms since the group began keeping donor industry data in 1990 in which retirees favor Democrats over Republicans.

(58,785 posts)I wonder if the Republican donors held and this change comes from new Democratic donors, or...? Older Republicans have apparently been the biggest ardent group of trumpsters -- this as so many approach what they believe will be their day of reckoning.
Speaking of, 81% of evangelical voters voted for Trump in 2016. Three weeks ago 71% said they still viewed him favorably. The Public Religion Research Institute didn't say how they viewed Democrats.
