Hugh Hewitt is a dope!
And I'm being nice! His rhetoric is worse than all GOP's put together(although Trump is the worst)! Pathetic! I had to turn to the 60's channel and listen to some music for awhile!

1. I can't stand him.
Years ago he was on a show called Life and Times, I think on PBS. He was clearly conservative, but I could watch. Now he just seems straight crazy.

10. Its not just that he is conservative,
he is insufferably smug and condescending. There are a lot of conservatives on TV that I can stomach, but not Hewitt.

2. Redundant
I lived in SoCal in the 90s. He was still working as an attorney but had a monthly column in a bi-weekly publication. And each election cycle he predicted that Feinstein would lose, Boxer would lose, Davis would lose (when he won..)
But we still fall for these Aryan faces and elocution. |

3. He is a fool. He just said Kyrsten Sinema is by far the most
radical leftist running for the US Senate. Apparently he has not even done cursory research on her actual voting record in the House. She is the 4th most conservative Democrat in the entire House.
On edit she is tied for 2nd, as Ashford is no longer a member. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/report-cards/2016/party-house-democrat/ideology HOUSE DEMOCRATS most conservative #1 0.65 Rep. 7. OMG. I'm in AZ and heard him say that. What an Idiot.
I held my nose and voted for her because she had a D behind her name, but certainly wish we had a more progressive candidate running. Maybe some day in AZ that will happen.

9. Once she got into the House she morphed in a real Blue Dog.
Until the middle of the 2000's she was really progressive and even a Green Party member. She has changed 180 degrees on many of her previous stances, but the Republicans use 12 to 15, 16 year old quotes to bash her.
I suppose that is the old con game Hewitt was trying to play. |

8. Just another in a long line of...MANY
who have been "mainstreamed" into "polite society" as if their lame ideas had any credence.
This issue is one that has bothered me forever.. Little by little these fools are brought on for "balance" and over time they become fixtures.. A few like David Sykes, Nicolle Wallace, Steve Schmidt, etc, claim to be recent converts to reality, but just you watch.. As soon as Trumpie is gone, they will drift back to their old roots.. Republicans who converted are RESPONSIBLE for where we are today. For decades they did everything possible to thwart common-sense legislation that benefited the general public, in favor of their narrow "belief" that conservatism was the only way...IT ISN'T ...Never was...Never will be.. They only switched now because they were embarrassed..but that will pass when they have a chance to profit once again by returning to their fold.. |
