The Republican theory is, any Democrat's wildest fantasy is to eliminate the rich through taxation. They think we're all into the old Ten Years After song that went, "tax the rich/feed the poor/till there are no/rich no more." There is no reason to do that, and Pritzker won't.

What I think he WILL do is propose modest increases in taxes on the very rich in order to fund infrastructure improvements - which the rich would be okay with because they know better infrastructure will make them more money.

One of those rabid RW women who are more extreme than even Rump (no abortions even in cases of rape or incest, etc). Harvard law grad, former Miss America- I’m sure the darling of the far right men. What was interesting is she is half black but I never heard anything about it until a couple of days ago. She doesn’t look it at all and certainly never seemed to talk about her ancestry. I wondered if she thought by putting the word out that she could gain some AA votes. All polls showed it to be a toss up but she thankfully got trounced.
