election offices, and it has been hard for the Dems to provide any oversight, since they don't have any power to demand it. This was seen most blatantly during the 2000 election in Florida, but talking to family in Georgia and Louisiana, it has often been obvious that elections on the local level are ripe for fraud.

If we ever get the ability to make national legislation again, the ability to have both parties involved in vote counting at every level is an imperative. (Not to mention paper ballots everywhere!)

We have those paperless electronic voting machines, and the place is heavily gerrymandered.

They vote without it. I just can’t understand why our constituencies cannot be relied upon.

but cause enough damage to hold on or do better than expected.

Real democracy does not exist in this country any more.

It died in 2000.

Some is the brainwashing by fuax news and hate radio. Some you add their age. Some but more like many are just mean ugly people, racists. Or a combo of all that or all that. And some voter suppression and some gerrymandering plus some down right out padding and flipping and you have fl. I can't believe this once wonderful place is fucked. I am moving. Won't live in a state with this many racist moronic scum. Not going to do this any more. the usa is dead. It died 11/9/16 in the wee hours of the morning.

GOP controlled states have made it hard as possible to cast a vote. They know people that tend to vote democrat (young, minorities) are not as reliable as their old white voters. If you are working, how easy is it to take a couple hours off to vote? If you are retired, you can stand in line all day.

The vote purging also doesn't help. I'm not sure where the legal challenges are on that topic. Until we get a court order to stop it, it will continue.

Lastly, they will continue to cause chaos and confusion. By the time their lies are exposed, low info voters have already tuned out. The "I dont vote cuz both sides suck!" crowd. I would also say the near constant campaigning now turns people off. The media drives us into a tizzy 2 years in advance of the election. To them its all about money, more ad dollars, more eyeballs. Trump is king of chaos.

In the end, I don't think they actually change tallies in the machines. What they do is up front and transparent, and so far they've been able to get away with it. We need to regain control of statehouses and state legislatures to have a chance to fix it.

I fill out a paper ballot

It’s scanned like the old scantron tests we took in school

Program flips a set % of votes *behind the scenes*

No one realizes

I honestly don’t doubt that

But here in northern Wisconsin, all it takes is enough STUPID PEOPLE to keep the Repugs in power.
In 2016, these fools voted for whoever the damned NRA told them to, my husband included.

He didn't do ANY independent study of the issues OR the candidates.
But he still voted for Delusional Donny... how embarrassing!!!
Thank God he's out of town during this historic mid-term.

Usually our votes negate one another.
But this time around, MY VOTE WILL COUNT IN GETING RID OF SNOT WALKER.

YAY!!!!
