races are not yet decided and those that have were generally not unexpected.

The polls suggested strongly that the Republicans would AT LEAST hold the Senate, if not gain seats this year. They also suggested that Dems had a good shot at flipping the House. Aren't the results going along those lines?

It’s demoralizing to see Gillum losing, and that’s the dominant narrative at the moment.

Every cycle I hope to see Florida going more blue and it ends up being disappointing more often than not.

We shouldn’t be eeking out a slim majority win with this fucking scumbag and his party tearing the country apart.

I never expected to get the Senate but we should have rolled the House

We have a big problem as a country when racial hate outweighs decency and common sense. That’s where we are.

Bret Baier
@BretBaier

The Fox News Decision Desk can now project that Democrats will take control of the House of Representatives for the first time in eight years, dealing a major setback to President Trump’s legislative agenda

I think that's partially what you are seeing here. I can't believe I'm going to be stuck with DeSantis and Scott.

Also, the current House projection is fragile since if the trend continues of Republicans overachieving then it carries to other districts also, even in the more friendly West.

None of this is immune to the national trend.

It means that Mueller's investigation will go full speed ahead and Trump will finally have to release his tax returns and every dirty secret he thought he could bury will be exposed.

There were never going to be enough Dems in the Senate to actually vote him out of office. But Dems will not have to. These are no phony baloney hearings like those that Starr staged around a cum stained dress. These are real crimes committed by Trump. And they are going to be all over the news soon.

Remember how popular tricky Dick was? Before the hearings? They did not have to impeach Nixon.

Trump should be sweating bricks.

Look for the lame duck GOP House to try to pass legislation to protect Trump in their final days.

and given how much tension has been building for the last two years, it's natural that some of it is going to come out in pretty forceful ways.

When the smoke clears, I think we'll have plenty that is positive to build on here, including control of the house, which is huge. But in the meantime, there's going to be some gnashing of teeth. Steam has been building for about 1459 days, and some of that steam is going to blow. So be it.

that he will not be able to push forth any more tax giveaways to the rich, but the damage on that has already been done. And, yes, we will be able to move on impeachment, that will go to a Senate that will be fully controlled by Repukes, and will certainly not be willing to remove Trump from office. So, Trump joins the list with Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Whoopie.

is that huge turnout is supposed to favor us. We had huge turnout and yet we are probably only going to have a 29 seat majority in the house. Florida is in trouble and beto is still going to lose by 9 percentage points in Texas. Lots of us are disgusted, angry, sad, and mentally broken by this fucking monster in the white house. We were supposed to be able to basically end him with the results tonight. How are the repukes able to keep up? They are topped out on voters and we supposedly got thousands more and still can't steamroll these bigoted fucks! This country is a fucking horror show right now.
