We now control the committees...........
and we have the power of impeachment, and subpoena power.
Congress cannot just cover for drumpf anymore
look, we were hoping to hold the senate at 51-49 at least, but it looks like senate wise this will be a disappointing night. that makes conviction more difficult.... BUT with the control of the house, we KNOW now that Mueller's work will be laid bare for ALL the country to see and we have the ability to impeach and send a traitor to the Senate for trial where even if he gets off (most likely) at least we have them ON RECORD voting to support a traitor.......
plus we control spending bills... the wall is OFFICIALLY DEAD
we can pass meaningful legislation for the middle class, roll back tax cuts for the rich, and DARE the senate to vote it down. The senate map for us was AWFUL in this election, and the next one is AWFUL for the GOP.
ACA is safe
just in general, congress has done nothing pretty much since the GOP took it over while obama was president. we can now pass bills like an assault weapon ban, immigration reform, all the things the public wants and FORCE the GOP in the senate to kill those bills. I want us sending so many pro-middle class bills to the senate that we we need to cut down a forest to make enough paper for them all.
The work the house does NOW will lay the groundwork for the left to win the white house and senate in 2020 by turning the nation against drumpf and the GOP even more than it already is.
