Kate Brown (D), OR-Gov elected to her first full term

(Re-elected, really, but she took over for the previous governor shortly after he’d won a term.)

She handily beat the republican challenger.

I was a little nervous about this election, especially with all the money pouring in from Phil Knight. We were the only house with a "Kate" sign in our neighborhood. I think I will keep it up for a few more days!

4. I am so happy!

I was a little worried too. The ads for Buehler were so nasty and dishonest, but apparently voters were smart enough to ignore them.
She's winning Multnomah County (Portland) by about 74% and that's enough to overcome the red areas of the state.

I'm also really happy that Measure 105 to repeal our state sanctuary law and Measure 106 to prohibit any public funds being spent on abortion are both going down by large margins.
