I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my existence

Victory feels great!

Listening to Nancy surrounded by the adults in the House is inspiring.

I have felt so beaten down by the tRump era, by the Rs and their assault on everything that is good and decent about this country. Our nation was truly on the brink, staring into the abyss. But now, there is hope. Real hope!

You now have a Democratically controlled House representing you. Of course, you can ignore that and wallow in misery, but why?

For some, the glass is always half empty.

to be an occasion to grieve.

And, yes, it is nice to live in a blue state. But I live in Orange County, CA, which was decidedly red when I first got here. It has only recently become purple and is trending blue. My district has had Mimi Walters as its rep for years, but there’s still hope that D Katie Porter might pull it out. If she doesn’t, well, I won’t grieve over it.

Steve King wants to introduce the heartbeat bill in lame duck...I'm tired and sapped but happy about the House.
I'm just not sure if we are on time or will bandage the damage before 2020.

Maybe someone will talk me down later.

There's still work to be done. Dems need to do better in rural America. The next two years should be spent working on changing attitudes in those areas.

With RBG retiring soon, as well as other judicial appointments that will need to be filled, the Democrats have to win either the Senate, the White House or both in 2020. If the Democrats are smart and lucky, they can turn the SC into a liberal majority over the next decade, but this will require keeping RBG's seat and stealing Thomas', which is possible now that McTurtle has scuttled the filibuster.

To accomplish this, the Democrats need to do better in the rural areas, and get back what they lost in the Midwest.

I don't follow Wisconsin, so why did he lose? People tired of him? Did he screw up the local economy? Corruption?

Walker never lived up to his initial campaign promises about more jobs, so he sold the state to Foxconn to build a plant here. Huge risk that probably will never pay off.
