but unfortunately we are up against a system that has allowed Republicans to control and exploit... in a sane and fair world, that many more votes would mean something

there were no Senate votes cast for any Republicans in CA. Two Dems were at the top of the run-off.

That's at least 6 million uncontested Democratic Party votes.

because they scored more total runs in the games played than the winning team? It may be an interesting statistic but it doesn't really mean anything other than that.
