Im still not believing that Joe Donnelly lost by that large of a margin

Im thinking about what happen when I early voted,,,I voted straight Democratic ticket.
When I went to page 2 I noticed that all Republican candidates had a "X" beside their name.
Now I am absolutely positive that I pushed the button for "Democrat" on page 1.
I called the poll worker over to my booth and she reset machine back to page 1. I then completed my ballot
reviewed my choices and cast my vote.

My point is how many Democratic voters voted a straight ticket and didn't pay any attention and then without realizing it their vote was flipped to Republicans?

I just cant believe Joe Donnelly lost by that margin 9% points..
When Democratic strong hold reelected Democratic House members.

...should have them in place by 2020.

Whatever needs to happen to make it happen needs to happen now.

at the State House and a Democratic Governor. In Indiana a state so Red that our State Democratic Party is made up of Republican lites. The push for a spoof proof election system was always shot down as "too expensive"

blue places mostly bluer

purple places stayed purple

Indiana is red, so to me no surprise, it's trending like Ohio towards being a strong republican state.

Florida is getting redder too but still purple (although I have no idea what candidate is needed to finally defeat rural white voters there).

VA is solid blue, NC trending purple to blue. Southwest trending purple to blue. CO solid blue. MI fairly well blue. WI purple again. MN moderately blue as is PA.

So there was spots of good and bad news. No wave. 50/50. A nation thoroughly polarized.

Antiquated voting machines that flip votes and totals, machines that are are not updated, are missing electrical cords, or hacked, voter suppression, limited number of polling places with short hours, gerrymandering all add up. They are as much of a threat to our democracy as an invading army with guns. It’s time to focus our collective attention on a quality and fair voting system. It’s not rocket science and we can do it. Republicans have stolen two presidential elections. Of course they cheat. How long will we let them get away with it?

This sort of thing has been going on for years. Initially there is lot of noise and outrage, but then it gets put on the shelf until the next election. I remember vividly Ohio in 2004 and Ken Blackwell got away with murder.
