Celebrate now. Get to work on January 2. Work hard, work fast. Republicans are starting to assemble money to finance your defeat in two years RIGHT NOW.
Do NOT play "nice." They won't.
Do not wait for "dialogue." If they want to talk, they'll knock. Otherwise, figure they're locking and loading, and you ALL have targets on your backs.
Keep in touch with your district. A LOT. The people who vote there will forget you exist if you don't. Try and do something for THEM. You will make life difficult for your opponent in 2 years if you do. You will make it easy for your opponent in 2 years if you don't. You do NOT know who your opponent will be. Figure he or she is well-financed, as fast talker and a skillful liar.
Beware of EVERYTHING offered you, including affection. The Republicans will be collecting videos and scandals, which are cheaper than making them up, which they WILL do if you are squeaky clean. James O'Keefe will not give you advance warning, and neither will the sleazebags who finance him (remember Al Franken).
Be aware of EVERYTHING you say in public and in private. Say NOTHING on social media you wouldn't say on Meet The Press.
If I have said something here you didn't already know, you should start worrying now, but you also have time to do something about it.
They want your ass gone in two years. Time to whip theirs first.
