Will the lame duck congress take a shot at Social Security and Medicare

Those two programs have been targets #1 and #2 since their inceptions. It seems pretty plain that this may be their final shot at them?

I am sure that all the think tanks have put plenty of time into creating a scenario that will pacify the base while screwing the younger generation.
