If they're talking about Nixon's first-term midterm election... then yeah. He didn't lose many seats (about a dozen). But of course, that's because it was before the scandal and he was quite popular (two years later he won one of the largest presidential landslides in history).
If they're talking about the impact his scandals had on Republicans in the House... that would be the 1974 elections - when Democrats took more than twice as many seats as Republicans. That was a race that started out with a 50-seat majority and still picked up almost 50 more.
