I’ve actually enjoyed the good news of late victories like Kamala Harris for attorney general in 2010. The late votes seem to favor Democrats.

1. Verify postmark
2. Verify timestamp
3. Verify signature.
4. Take ballot out of envelope.
5. Run batches through the machines.

It may be slow but it's transparent.
