Any US Senator can sue to stop the Illegal Whitacre appointment

So says Lawrence Tribe.

So, who is the D Senator(s) who will do it? They need to demand immediate injunctive relief from the courts to keep him from being seated, and for the statute to be followed, which means Rosenstein should assume the role of Acting AG.

Perhaps Dems have been talking about it behind closed doors and want to get all their ducks in a row before filing suit, but I have been pulling my hair out all day wondering why no one has gone to court over it.

Whitaker’s extremism and hubris will be his downfall. I predict it won’t take long.

I believe the Dems will go after this but its not something that can materialize in a matter of hours. They gotta have all their ducks in a row. Firing Jeff Session was expected. Declaring someone else as being in charge as if its a recess appointment or whatever shit he is trying to pull, was not exactly expected.

license or something like that. It would be very very bad if he doesn't recuse after being advised to.

The smart lawyer who wrote the op ed w/ George Conway said it on tv tonigh...... I can't remember his name but as soon as I saw his face I recognized him.

He wrote the current special counsel law. He was also the lawyer who beat Trump's travel ban in court.
