Decided to take a break from news and watch both Home Alone movies back to back

So I finished the first one, of course the best one. But figured I'd watch the second one. Guess who fucking showed up mid way into the movie that I turned it off?

My advice is NEVER WATCH ANY SEQUEL that has anything to do with New York City that was made between 1970 and 2010.

Avoid the Orange Asshole.

Last time I saw this movie was like ten or so years ago. I wasn't a fan of the sequel and boom there he was and off it went. Not even on a day from news can I escape this orange goo.

Hardly a reason to turn it off! Lost in New York is my personal favorite.

And boom. Like karma there he was. Though Tim Curry makes the whole fucking movie IMO.

include him in a scene... most directors filmed a scene with him in it and just didn't use the footage.

[I don't know if this is really true]

His ego was just as fat then as it is now. Like the time he showed up on Fresh Prince. I rolled my eyes and wondered, how can this guy be everywhere?

We had friends over from the USA yesterday, and my wife took off to the North, as her mom had another medical issue, and lives in one of these tiny towns where public transportation is a rumor. So, I finished my paperwork from the last week, and watched Avatar and The Illusionist back to back.

I almost have tomorrow off as well, and then it's back to another 7 day work week, and the weather here in Central Europe isn't any better for me here in Germany than it is for Trump in France.

The only difference is that he gets to play hooky in the US ambassador's residence in Paris and I have to go stand out in the rain in Utrecht (Monday) and Stuttgart (Tuesday) and a lot of etc. before next Sunday.

Oh, yeah, one more difference--I will help improve relations between Europe and the USA. He will do the opposite.

Weather? Services? Food? People? Working here? Cost of living?

It's 1:40 AM, and I don't want to be up all night writing a 100 page report!

I also speak the language of the country I live in (Germany), as well as the languages of most major countries nearby (French, Dutch, Spanish, Swedish, Catalan, Italian, Russian, and some rudimentary Polish).

I am also married to one of the friendlier natives, which makes up for a LOT of gray, rainy days, and a bureaucracy that is as all-powerful as it is uncaring:

I like historic landmarks. But my friend Clara would love it more. She's into that medieval era.
