1. I agree. She is just excellent.

The longer time format allows for thorough conversation on the topic of the day. Amanpour has such an engaging, intelligent, personality who knows the subject thoroughly. And she doesn't just interview politicians: there have been movie stars, authors, other interesting people. She knows how to draw out the interviewee in a very skillful way, yet guide the discussion in a flexible format. She also is personally interested in whatever person or topic is on, and has a great sense of humor to boot.
