U.S. Senator Graham says supports Mueller bill, urges vote

Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham said on Tuesday he supported a bill that would protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller from any politically motivated firings and would urge Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to allow a vote on it.

“I would certainly vote for it,” Graham told reporters of the bill, which he supported when it passed the Senate Judiciary in April.

“I don’t see any movement to get rid of Mueller. But it probably would be good to have this legislation in place just for the future,” he said.

McConnell told reporters in Kentucky last week he did not think legislation was necessary because he did not think Mueller was in danger.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said he also supported the bill but would not lobby McConnell to allow the measure to move forward. - Reuters

I suppose Graham got a call from DJT informing him he didn't get the job.

and now they've soared. Graham's up for re-election in 2020 and that's what this is all about.

They thought they could use trump for their gain, which they have in some way by passing crazy bills, but for some reason they thought the man-child would be seen favorably by more voters, now they realize he is no good for anything, and they need the next two years to try to clean the name of the republican party.

Amazing how SC voters don't see through this fake senator Graham.

I personally hope the man-child stays until the end of his period and then gets indicted, I don't want Pence to become president, I think he is worst than the man-child, and as I have said before, Pence can fool a lot of people into thinking he is normal, and good.

Graham's of course one of at least 4 senators who (via super PACs) received very large donations from Putin-linked donors, something like $800K to him according to what I read.

Kowtow and kiss the ring of Trump when it could potentially benefit him, and now he's back to playing his old games when it didn't? Yeah, Lindsay, I hope your constituents take note. You're a weak little man who will betray anyone and everyone, including your country, for any potential personal gain.

Screw him.

He should be thoroughly embarrassed by now all the hypocrisy, and boot licking he has done. His melt down defending Kavanaugh was downright pathetic.

Sometimes I wonder why he even bothers anymore (to make a feeble toss of a bone to moderates) Which are getting rarer and rarer. maybe some unrelenting guilty twang he gets from his best bud beyond the grave. Who else could he be trying to impress? No one believes a word he says anymore. Or more specifically, the conviction behind the words.
