Multiple Democratic members who publicly support Pelosi are speculating to me on background that she doesnt have the numbers and cant get there.
I'd have to know who gave him this info before I freak out. I hope we don't end up with #FiveWhiteGuys Tim Ryan.

(13,573 posts)Who is being put up against her who will get more numbers? Methinks "Multiple Democratic members" are ones who are saying to him "Well, I think we Democrats need a change of leadership, but..." and Mr. Fuller is jumping to the conclusion that "She doesn't have the numbers and can't get there" - as if the Dems haven't flipped the House already and she's running for Minority Leader.
So far, I haven't heard of anyone actually making the moves to go up against her. They'd have been reported going around making deals already.
I'm wondering, did #FiveWhiteGuys thumb-wrestle yet to see which of them was going to make the strafing run against her?
Are these good "3rd Way" alternatives sure that all these brand new women and women of color who have been elected will ditch her and vote for one of them "politically realistic he-men"?
Or do they think they can muster a coalition of moderates and brand new radicals with no D.C. experience to oust her and/or any of the other Senior House Dems she's put in for leadership roles already?

New focus from anti-Pelosi members like Tim Ryan is pointing out the women in their group, like Marcia Fudge and Kathleen Rice.
Ryan and others pushing narrative that a woman should be Speaker, just not Pelosi.
I'm 100% convinced Fuller's sources were the #FiveWhiteGuys

(82,849 posts)That shit's not going to stir itself, is it? And "Dems in Disarray®" is so much more familiar territory than covering that dumpster fire at the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue.
So, come January 3 when this tweet has aged very, very badly Matt, what will you say then? Will there be any sanction or penalty for being so wrong?
What am I saying? Of course there won't be any consequences.

(9,845 posts)I think they are stupid for trying to push her out now. They should be learning from her and prepare to nominate someone else after 2020.

(14,971 posts)so now they're saying "No, seriously, we want a woman just not THAT woman". I have nothing against Fudge and Rice, they're both fine people but we need somebody who's experienced enough to navigate the shit we're in.
