Confused about Avenatti

Okay so the police has confirmed they arrested him for assaulting his wife.

He has denied this.

His wife has denied this.

His wife wasnt even with him when the alleged incident took place.

I can understand, when high powers may get people to make false complaints.

But if he didnt do this.

Why would the local police arrest him, when he clearly didn't assault his wife.

There has been discussion over several pundit shows about how TMZ first reported it and had to backtrack... Then I heard the quote from Avennati's wife about how she "hadn't seen him in about 3 months" and how he was "never" physically abusive and she could not believe that he would be that way with anyone... etc.

"She hit him first" as he was being arrested. If true, they were obviously together at some point. Domestic situations are hard to decipher. It is always he said she said.
