Ever so slowly, they move inward, but inexorably. Little by little, there's less space to move around in, and stuff is breaking, collapsing, and making ominous noises.
What can stop the inevitable? Chewbacca? R2D2? C3PO? Han Solo? Will something be strong enough to stop the walls? Or are Trump and his merry band of miscreants doomed to oblivion?
I don't know about you, but I'm biting my nails furiously...

(11,612 posts)The calculus book i teach seniors in high school out of has a death star garbage compactor problem. In it, one set of walls are moving together and the walls in the other dimension are simultaneously moving apart. I never noticed this in the movie and I can't quite understand how it would work absent some advanced sci-fi sanitation technology... so I guess what I've been wondering every single year... is this actually what was supposed to be going on? Or is it just some fake attempt to design a more complex volume derivative problem?

(43,888 posts)a kidney stone is also called a calculus. Probably because it's as painful as calculus class....

(11,612 posts)... don't feed your young male dairy goats too much grain because the excess phosporous causes urinary calculi... aka kidney stones. It's killed two of my young bucks through the years.

And keep the goats away from bitter herbs; they love them but makes their milk bitter.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I goat herded in Mexico in my younger days.

(11,612 posts)... but they love it so much and I have a soft heart. Usually i just use alfalfa pellets for them though now. And my goats are Nubis they always have sweet milk... even when you feed them leaves from the wacky herbs I raise in the basement.

(43,888 posts)So many bitter bushes.
Nothing tastes better than a hot cup of coffee in the morning, with a few squirts if goat's milk straight from the teat.
Unless they get into the bitters.
