Right now he is my top for 2020. And 2024 - the man is only 38!

(205,220 posts)I've become a fan, for a former Republican, I heard the best anti Trump rant from him than I've heard from anyone. He's angry and with good reason. I'm always glad to see him on any show and he's really been making the rounds, these days.
As for Bill Maher, they may not offer the show in its entirety, but they didn't leave out much this week. And you can depend on these videos of the show to still be available through the weekend, next week and next year.

(205,220 posts)I really like him, too - wish he'd run in my district. The voters here inexplicably reelected the Paul Ryan Republican that they've been protesting for the past two years.

(42,862 posts)I like that he wears nice clothes, and a nice age-appropriate hairstyle that's clean-looking and well groomed. He's got a natural and unforced smile and friendly manner to him. I like that he speaks clearly, he doesn't rush or mumble, and the fact that he doesn't have any distinguishable regional accent or dialect is will be an advantage to him in the future. I also like the fact that he doesn't interrupt people either... that speaks to his ability to be courteous of others and respectful of their opinions.
He's polite and attentive and his body-language and strong upright posture indicates that he's confident and healthy. I like that he doesn't rely on a politician's-crutch of being (literally) "in-your-face" aggressive. I really dislike politicians who "invade" the personal space of others and try to be intimidating (to the interviewer or to their colleagues and/or opponents and/or fellow panelists) with finger-pointing and other exaggerated gesticulations. That's just rude... and I'm very pleased to see that he doesn't rely on those types of outdated and old-fashioned gimmicks.
I see great things for him going forward. We will hear much from him in the future.
