she is serving as Senator, the junior United States Senator from Mississippi, in office since April 2018.

On March 21, 2018, Governor Phil Bryant announced his intention to appoint Hyde-Smith to the United States Senate seat being vacated due to the resignation of Thad Cochran.[4] Hyde-Smith was sworn into office on April 9, 2018.

we have a chance to win this seat and if nelson ends up winning too, then the senate would be so much better than expected. This will probably be a low turnout election so it’s all up to dem voters.
