Ted Lieu: Dear Acting AG-You can stonewall but we'll get the info you are hiding & make you testify

@tedlieu

Dear Acting AG @MattWhitaker46: You can stonewall, but we will get the info you are hiding when the House changes control. And we will call you before the Judiciary Committee and make you testify before the American people.

Have a nice Thanksgiving.

Kurt Schrader is technically my Congressman now. He’s a “Democrat” alright but VASTLY inferior to Ted Lieu. I’m already on record against his opposition to Nancy Pelosi. Schrader’s totally out of step. Some of us in the local Indivisible are already talking about primarying him in two years. He’s not our favorite by any means.

They will either ignore subpoenas or claim a vague, unarticulated but possibly Executive, privilege regarding every issue and every witness.

So, Trump's bagman just left the meet spot, it's really annoying how the man refuses to talk to me unless through an intermediary, but I understand appearances need to be kept up.

Holy crap, that's alotta dough, wheeee!!!

Only problem is, what do I spend it on, how do I scrub it? Trump used to sell his properties to his business partners, apparently he did that for decades and all those asshole Russians he loves so much had the perfect laundering scheme, but Trump is yet to ferret out all the good guys (yuck) at Justice who know about that stuff, so I'm on my own.

Easiest way for me is to just declare it and fudge the old taxes, I mean, who's going to prosecute me, I'm the frigging top cop in the US of A now, who'da thunk that one up, lolol

Hey buddy, pull my finger!

End entry

so that the Justice Department wouldn’t have to provide documents pertaining to the fast and furious operation. It was the first contempt vote of a sitting attorney general. It did not lead to any convictions, went nowhere. As I understand it goes through the Federal courts and just civil fines are involved. The Fascist House tried to strengthen the rules, passed it but don't think it became law. Bet their glad it didn't now.

This gives me a really bad feeling. Like maybe they've got something on him.

First, he's officially his boss. It would be messy. I imagine they are slow-walking and adding some obstructionism in all of this. Heard there is some phony information-feeding going on to catch him in the act.

Guessing that Whittaker's background is almost "blackmail" material. I think that will get him...sheer embarrassment...then no one gets blamed. He's already reportedly being pressured to recuse for legal reasons. Can you imagine going to work every day, unwanted, unprepared, and thinking they are all wondering about the size of...well, the tub and all. He's used to being respected as a Judge.
