GD rules - no sports I know but I thought this was more than about football
Can't find an article on it. Heard it on the Fox TV pregame.
The LA Rams and Kansas City Chiefs were originally supposed to play in Mexico City Monday night. The game was moved back to LA due to the poor field conditions of Azteca stadium (rain, concerts, other events). The Rams were practicing in Colorado to acclimate to altitude before going to Mexico City. They were due to fly back to LA but couldn't because of an ice storm in Colorado.
At least the QB for the Rams has had to evacuate his family due to the fires.

(35,199 posts)They're going to play amidst fires--that strikes me as a perilous undertaking--but they're only going to be playing amidst fires that were delayed by ice.
Now, what they're fleeing in order to play in the midst of fires must be pretty horrendous.
I can get it to be something reasonable, but it takes just too much work.

(182,285 posts)The NFL desperately wants to go international. There are 4 games, I think, a year in London. Usually Dallas plays a game in Mexico City. The Jacksonville team is most likely to move to London - talk about crazy logistics.
LA really isn't in the fire but Malibu which isn't far away is. Most of the fires is up near San Francisco
