McRaven vs Trump

America has not had a General as President since Dwight D Eisenhower in 1952.

Granted, McRaven is an Admiral, not a General, but what type of race would he run against Donald Trump? How could Trump brand him without hurting his own military support? "He should have gotten Osama bin Laden much sooner" is hardly a winning message.

McRaven would point out his 5 deferments and his unwillingness to visit our troops in a war zone.

Of course, no one has mentioned McRaven as a possible candidate in 2020, but maybe they should?

In my opinion, Trump would have a very difficult time against someone like Admiral McRaven.

1. We have better candidates for 2020, who have better political skills

than the admiral. The days of General IKE are long gone. War/military background is no guarantee of win anymore. I would prefer Beto, Warren, or Biden because in debates they will expose Trump's lack of in-depth knowledge of issues much better than the admiral.

2. republicans* need to stop dumping on America's Armed Forces

This is repugnant. They have pissed on our POWs, our Gold Star Families, our Veterans who are not receiving their support checks, and our Navy heroes. The republicans should shut up their big fat yaps, and show some respect.

* Especially those republicans who dodged the draft five frikken times so they could hang out as skeazey casino hustlers, and industrial-scale money laundries for the russian mob.
