Parkland dad Fred Guttenberg has me in tears

He and his family are going to their daughter's grave for Thanksgiving.
He just made me realize that Nikki Fried's victory over the ReTHUG for the Commissioner of Agriculture is a massive win for gun control.

1. Me, too. Breaks my heart what he and the other Parkland families have gone through.

And it’s not even a year. As I watched him I thought about everything the Parkland kids have achieved since last Valentine’s Day. Look at the March for Our Lives, the debates, the canvassing, the voter registration. We have to keep them motivated; they have to be exhausted from everything they’ve gone through but on one can speak to the gun control issue better than the victims.

That they have to be subjected to the absolute worst in society - the Infowars and conspiracy theory fans who were told by Alex Jones that they didn't exist and were crisis actors, that they got subjected to all the harassment and death threats that they got - that they still continue to get. To me that is just low. It's lower than low. These people definitely deserve better than that. Thankfully Alex Jones got his ass handed to him and lost his Youtube channel and iTunes podcast because of it.

No state income taxes. Their infrastructure is paid for by small business taxes and fees.

They have moved the needle on reasonable gun regulation.

You could include a large article about the Parkland survivors as advocates for change against the NRA.
