The other day, President Trump offered an olive branch, by stating support for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.

Instead of the Speakership coming down to Ds versus Rs, it would be nice to see 100% House support.


Tonight, Ali Velshi reported that Nancy Pelosi faced more negative advertisement than Pres. Trump did--
with no advertisement defending her. This indicates the Republicans actually fear her--conflicting Trump.

President Donald Trump said Saturday morning that some Democrats are "harassing" Rep. Nancy Pelosi over her bid to once again be elected House Speaker.

Pelosi (D-Calif.) has seen a growing number of Democrats oppose her bid for the speakership, with at least 17 House Democrats, including incumbents and incoming members, signing on to a document saying they will not support her.

Speaking to reporters before heading to California to survey the wildfire damage in parts of the state, Trump said that he'd "help" Pelosi "if she needed some votes."

"I will perform a wonderful service for her," he said. "I like her. Can you believe it? I like Nancy Pelosi."


I can get Nancy Pelosi as many votes as she wants in order for her to be Speaker of the House. She deserves this victory, she has earned it - but there are those in her party who are trying to take it away. She will win! @TomReedCongress

In all fairness, Nancy Pelosi deserves to be chosen Speaker of the House by the Democrats. If they give her a hard time, perhaps we will add some Republican votes. She has earned this great honor!

President Trump, your offer is very nice, and should not be proffered under a request from Nancy Pelosi, but support should be thrown to her without any solicitation on her part. Send word to have House Republicans go on record supporting her.

And is scared of her , and didn't want her in that position, being a smart and successful women , and he's scared to death of her. He especially hates women, especially smart ones.

2. I agree w/ you. He's scared of her (or more likely, of what she now represents ...

in Congress and it does for his (if he has any) legislative goals). I doubt that rump has any respect for her what-so-ever, because it would take away valuable preening time for himself.
