@realDonaldTrump
Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have Obama judges, and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country. It would be great if the 9th Circuit was indeed an independent judiciary, but if it is why......

(17,862 posts)both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are now strongly encouraged to exercise judicial independence. Otherwise they go down in history as Trump judges.

That and the other institutional controls you describe as the "deep state" are meant to prevent you from converting the USA from a constitutional democracy into a banana republic.

(4,192 posts)They think of themselves as those "who are charged with the safety of our country." I recognize that screed from republicans frequently. What I see are republicans who get involved in public security matters are generally politically motivated and end up making really stupid decisions over and over because their political beliefs and prejudices trump good judgment.
Unfortunately, control freaks seek control and our cultural and societal systems have weak protections against such asshats getting into positions of power and authority. Cases in point...every republican in the Congress and Senate. Closer to home - local representatives who are republican often act privileged and entitled but rarely actually represent the people in their districts other than for their pet projects and prejudices. It's a guarantee that arrogant police officers are republicans. Or security guards...same story.
They love to be in charge but they typically suck at the jobs they take.

(21,859 posts)he placed the comma before the quote mark. and he spelled independent AND judiciary right.
in other words....
No way did he write this.
also, I'm sure trump would have capitalized the word "country"
and I'm sure he wouldn't have spelled out in its entirety Chief Justice John Roberts..... that's way to respectful.
