Trump can't imagine anyone other than himself being Time person of the year?
Really?
I'd throw in
Jamal Khashoggi
Kamala Harris
Fred Guttenberg
Dr Christine Ford
Beto O'Rourke
Stormy Daniels
Jim Acosta
And of course, Robert Mueller
Anyone else...

(3,335 posts)14. Didn't he say the same thing last year? Trying to persuade the people at TIME that he should have a
"REAL" Cover as opposed to those fake TIME covers he has of himself as Person of the Year. Well I don't think it worked last year and his shtick should be old by now.

(1,474 posts)3. I really wonder if deep down, trump knows
what a pile of manure he is. He is stupid, but is anyone that stupid? Not that it really matters, but at some level, he probably knows what a loser he is.

...when we each posted that Trump probably doesnt have any idea that being TIMEs person of the year is not always an honor - Hitler was named such in 1938.
Please, please, please, TIME. Any one but Trump.

It's not always an "honor" to get it.
Controversial choices
Despite the magazine's frequent statements to the contrary, the designation is often regarded as an honor, and spoken of as an award or prize, simply based on many previous selections of admirable people.[7] However, Time magazine points out that controversial figures such as Adolf Hitler (1938), Joseph Stalin (1939 and 1942), Nikita Khrushchev (1957) and Ayatollah Khomeini (1979) have also been granted the title for their impacts.[8]
It's not always an "honor" to get it.
