"'Morning Joe" co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough married Saturday evening in a “secret” ceremony at the National Archives in Washington D.C., Vanity Fair reports. The media power couple, who got engaged in Antibes, France last spring, were wed “in front of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights” according to the magazine. The quiet ceremony is in keeping with their notoriously discrete relationship. The pair, sometimes described with the portmanteau “Scarzinski,” don’t discuss their personal lives on their morning news program which in Vanity Fair’s view, “lent the duo an unexpected celebrity air, rendering them a sort of Branjelina of the political-media in-crowd.” President Trump offered them the opportunity to have their nuptials at The White House. They reportedly said no.

We don't need to be that precise when it comes to punctuation - it's pretty informal.

Actually, I far prefer to hear her opinion on most subjects, but it is frequently cut short by Mr. Knowitall.

“We wanted it to be really small and simple and not what you expected from Mika and Joe,” Brzezinski explained on Saturday. “Everything we do is exposed, and everything felt exposed every step of the way, so we want this to be private until it’s over. We wanted to recognize it more quietly and have the people who are most important to us around us. And you know, our show is a cocktail party every morning.”

Scarborough playfully interrupted. “Not a cocktail party. A coffee..."

...and then spend someone else's wedding making it all about him?

After all, if they took him up on it that would mean (to him) that they came crawling back to him. Why not get in a never-ending stream of potshots while making a big, mafia-don show of magnanimously allowing them to return to his fold.

And tell Joey to go home and get his shine box.
