Suppose Trump pardons Manafort.

The House can then subpoena him. He must testify. He can't claim the 5th. If he lies, Mueller will know. Manafort is screwed.

AND/OR state attorney generals can indict him on new state charges. Trump can't pardon him on state charges. Manafort has already pleaded guilty to the actions. Manafort is screwed.

Either way, Manafort is screwed. Eventually he'll figure it out. Will he still protect DT then?

He likely knows he is going to die in jail, but maybe he thinks if he lies to the end, the Russians and/or Trump’s hitmen will spare his family.

As far as his previous employers are concerned, Paul is a loose end...the Ukrainians and the Russians, being the practical people they are...don't like loose ends!

And we all know that the Russians have no qualms about "removing" problems, even if they live in other countries!!!

State time is ugly. Federal prison is his best option, so Manafort may be begging right about now NOT to get a federal pardon. Wouldn't it be funny if Mueller is his new best friend?
