I haven't been here forever, but I've sure been here long enough to know how things go, eh?

Later, I sold mineral specimens to collectors around the world for a few years. Now, I do something else.

There is a mineral dealer who calls himself MineralMan, but that's not me. Not connected.

I used one when building trails. It had the triangle blades, not the tine-like kind. Sometimes called a council rake.

Now all we need is a peavy and a mattocks.

I live on a National Forest inholding and near the convergence of three NF (6Rivers, Klamath, Shasta-Trinity).

The lookouts are from a historical era.

There were lookouts, many originally built by the CCC in the 1930s, nearby: Shelton Butte, Orleans Mountain, Offield Mountain Blue Ridge, Eddy Gulch, Lake Mountain, Medicine Mountain, Weaver Bally, and more. None are now active in the Klamath Mountains.

There are not as many engine crews and brush disposal crews compared to the past, especially when there was still major timber sale programs.
