Trump Claims 'Angry Mueller Gang of Dems' Telling Witnesses to Lie: 'This is Our Joseph McCarthy Era

After a busy week in news from special counsel Robert Mueller regarding his probe into Russian election interference and the Trump campaign, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to claim media outlets are copying the “Angry Mueller Gang of Dems” and announcing today is the new “Joseph McCarthy Era!”

The president’s tweets came a day a story broke on Mueller announcing Paul Manafort, who pled guilty to witness tampering and conspiracy in September, breached his plea deal after lying to Mueller’s team and the FBI “on a variety of subject matters.” Additionally, per the Boston Globe last night, Manafort could be in for some more trouble, as one of his lawyers reportedly has briefed the president’s legal team on the former Trump campaign chairman’s talks with the special counsel.

Trump also went on retweet-storm, smashing the RT button after seeing several pro-Trump tweets that would even even make most MAGA, Facebook meme-sharing baby boomer cringe.
