6. Stephen Colbert, I believe got his start on the Daily Show

with Jon Stewart. And then, the Colbert Report followed the Daily Show for a long time. He has been a surprise guest, quiet a few times since Colbert took over the Late Show.
They have quite a long bromance.

I think their affection for each other is obvious. Saw all three clips and enjoyed seeing them together.

8. This "interview" is showing what they do best

Colbert and Stewart are great ad-libbers and they each play off each other in real-time. It's humor yes, but it's not silliness because they each play a role in the ad-lib. I think it's why these guys are so good, and they make each other better and funnier.

But not everyone gets it, and yeah it does look like they're arguing if you don't already know that they're great friends.
